How To Install Android 4.3 UVUCMK7 firmware for T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2 is officially rolling out. The OTA update contains Android 4.3 UVUCMK7 firmware version for. The T889UVUCMK7 update reportedly brings so many new features and improves apps including Galaxy Gear support. The Samsung Wallet would be pre-loaded on the phone. There are new screen modes of S4, driving mode, multiple widgets, new Samsung apps including calculator, clock, contacts and much more.

If you want to download and install the update manually, here’s the guide to help. The guide given below shows you how to install Android 4.3 UVUCMK7 firmware for T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2. You need a Windows PC with phone drivers installed. Make a backup of your device such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use the carbon Android app to backup apps and data. Do not forget to disable system tools on computer such as antivirus and KIES as they can disturb installation.

Instructions

Step #1: Download T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 T889UVUCMK7 to your computer.

Step #2: Unzip downloaded zip file into a folder.

Step #3: Open the folder where you’ve unzipped above file and fire up Odin3 v3.04.exe file.

Step #4: Turn the device off and reboot the device into download mode by holding down volume down, home and power buttons.

Step #5: Once you’re in download mode plug the device to PC using USB cable. Odin will detect the device, ID:COM will turn yellow and a message saying ADDED will appear. (Note: If Odin doesn’t detect the device, make sure that USB drivers are properly installed on your computer).

Step #6: Click on PDA Button and locate tar.md5 from the folder where you’ve unzipped above files in the step 2. (Note: Don’t make any change, just make sure that re-partition is unchecked).

Step #7: Click on Start button to start installation, once the installation is done, your device will reboot itself and you’ll see message saying PASS (Note: If Odin refuse to install the update and show message FAIL, or get stuck, close the Odin and unplug device, then turn off tab for a few seconds. Then reboot into download mode. Then install the firmware again).

Step #8: If your device reboot into normal mode, you’re done, enjoy! But if you device gets stuck at boot screen, you need to perform wipe, to do so, turn off device, then reboot into recovery mode by holding down volume up, home and power buttons, when screen turns on, leave power button but not volume down until you enter in recovery mode. In recovery mode, select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen. Once it done, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now” to reboot the phone.

That’s it, the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update is now installed on your T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2.
